I am so overwhelmed and very proud to have been nominated for Positive Role Model (LGBT) at this years National Diversity Awards 2019.

The awards which are this year being hosted in the breath-taking Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool on 20th September are very important .  The prestigious black tie event recognises nominees in their respective fields of diversity including age, gender, race, faith, religion and sexual orientation.

They recognise role models and community organisations from across the UK, Britain's most inspirational people and their significant contribution to society.

To say that I am honoured to have had one nomination is an understatement. I have always been proud of the help I give to others and if I give just one person inspiration and change their lives then this is gratitude enough. 

During the past 10 years since I first began Makeover Girl the Uk,s only Transgender Image Consultancy at that time, I have helped tens of hundreds of Transgender women to see themselves as females.  I have transformed many women's lives and helped them to see that they are able to go out and just be themselves, regardless of anyone else's opinion. I have also  supported many women during their transition and seen so many bloom into the beautiful women that they already are. I have received so many letters of thanks over the years it has actually kept me going when times were difficult.  I love my work and will continue to teach as many women as I can how to make the most of themselves but more importantly to raise their confidence. I hope to continue to empower transgender women but also continue to raise awareness and breakdown as many social barriers as i can. For me everyone is equal.  Look at the person next to you.   You are no better than them and they are no better than you.
